Cookin' for a Cure

Cookin' for a Cure

Cook book Most people have been affected by the disease of cancer in one form or another, either directly or by association with those who have. The busyness of  living and working day to day has made it difficult to near impossible to attend to the personal needs of the afflicted and affected in the manner we would prefer.

So when an opportunity comes along that affords us the ability to help alleviate the hardships or sufferings of the families affected plus has the added bonus of  providing a tangible memento to remind us of our charitable efforts we tend to favor that option over doing nothing.

A cookbook with recipes compiled by members of the Log Homes Council of the National Association of Home Builders has been published with the philanthropic idea that 100% of the monies collected from the sale of the cookbook will go right back out to the families in need as seen fit by the National Cancer Awareness Foundation.  Even the printing expenses of the cookbook were incurred by private funds and corporate supporters.

Mark Elliott
Mark Elliott VP of Coventry Log Homes
Woodsville,  NH— On May 18, Coventry Log Homes, Inc. conducted a  seminar for potential log home buyers. The annual seminar has lured participants from as far away as California.

The all-day seminar featured two Power Point presentations produced and presented by the companies vice president, Mark Elliott who also serves as chairman for the Task Force on Moisture Content Verification and Vice Chair of the Log Grading Committee for the Log Home Council.

The topics covered were: 1) the long history of the company, along with a list of sound reasons why one would buy from Coventry Log Homes, including it’s affiliation with the National Association of Homebuilders and its off-shoot the Log Home Council (of which there are only 60 members nationwide) and their high technical and compliancy standards that  a member must adhere to; and, 2) the buying and building processes from start to finish.
