Hello, Juanita!

1.  Integrity: CLH stood by their word, holding onto the house beyond the sale time (until the snow was gone and we could take delivery).  CLH also stood by their word in not passing the subsequent shipping charge increase on to us.   So we were impressed before we ever got the house.
 
2.  We thought we would have trouble getting a Canadian engineer to approve the plans, but when he requested a minor change (for snow load) CLH did not take advantage by overcharging for the change and were prompt and professional in their dealings with him.
 
3.  When we had to call for construction advice it was a relief that CLH was not condescending but always available to resolve our questions.   In fact, we decided that CLH could truthfully rename itself the "House-Building-for-Dummies" company - because we managed it!
 
4.  2 years to build a house ourselves - quite stressful.  However, CLH was never a source of that stress because their product is so superior.  All materials were high quality, as advertised, and precision cut.  It went together exactly as it was supposed to and the result was a superior house - we still can't believe that it was built by us!
 
5.  Whilst we were building everyone watched.  People expressed concern about the insulation value of a house with only 6" of wood between us and -40 degree weather.  We even got nervous ourselves - until we fired up the woodstove and it kept the whole house toasty - people can't say enough good about it.  We live in northern BC, the Canadian Cariboo, and for the first time I don't hate the snow because it's easy to stay warm in this house.
 
6.  CLH gave me $250 just for telling another Canadian buyer the truth - that their houses are cost-effective, excellently designed and easy to build.  I gave out all the brochures CLH sent me and subsequently my local pub's owner came by to see our house and says he's ordering one for himself.
 
In conclusion, there is nothing to compare with the feeling you get from showing off a home that you built yourself.  Buyers can be confident that CLH will be a large part of making their dreams a reality.    Our neighbors are building an impressive cedar post and beam mansion - but it's around OUR home's fireplace that everybody cozies up, and it's everything I'd dreamed.  Several of my friends built houses - then divorced.  My significant other and I built the house (with my sons) - then got married.  Now if that's not a testimonial for a great building experience then I don't know what is!  (And he even carried me across the threshhold).

We would like to compliment you and Coventry Log Homes on our beautiful log camp. The workmanship is second to none! We must say that it has been such a pleasure working with you and Coventry. You have made it so easy, from initial inquiry to actual on-site delivery. Richard, you are great to work with! You answered all of our many questions very timely and were very supportive through the whole process. The information packets, including the DVDs, that were sent with our initial inquiry, were extremely helpful. Plans were sent timely and delivery went smoothly and precisely on schedule. Our neighbors, on the lake, are amazed at how beautiful the camp is and how swiftly it was built. We have given many tours, thus far! We have also taken many pictures and are sharing them with our family and  friends, here in Pennsylvania.

Thank you, also, for giving us a list of suggested builders to contact. Of the list, we chose Craig Trombley of “Frame to Finish. He and his crew were absolutely phenomenal. They worked very well with you, coordinating delivery and off-loading. They stayed on-site and worked sunrise to sunset. The camp was framed: from subfloor to roof within 6 days!

Our camp is more beautiful than we imagined! As we built it for a seasonal place, it makes us want to move up to Maine year-round! We are very happy customers.

I can’t express how impressed I am with you and your team. I have never built anything in my life and decided to build this log dream myself. Even though i built my foundation out of steel you continually helped me get it done. I had adverse weather conditions that would not cut me a break and still you talked me through it. You even called me to give me cell phone numbers if I had any problems during July long weekend as you knew you would not be in the office. This kind of service is hard to find this day and age. I even changed the design a little mid stream and your engineering department helped make the changes with no problems. I have and will continue to tell people of you product and service. I was left not needing anything to completion of the project. All equipment and parts were there with easy to read instructions. Sorry for phoning so often you always answered with the right answer and a happy greeting, but I would never have done it without your patience and help. Hope to see you here to do a little hunting in the future.
